Prelude to Fall at the National Botanic Garden

An adventurous group took to the trails and pathways to enjoy a morning at the Botanic Garden.

Join us and experience a rolling landscape animated by waterfalls, and gardens. Lakes are connected by canals; one lake harbors 48 tiny islands of bamboo, grown and harvested to feed the pandas at the Smithsonian National Zoo.
Fanciful structures include an 827-foot-long dragon of jagged rock and a castle built with reclaimed stone and recycled highway and building parts. Twenty-five monumental modernist sculptures by co-owner, Beata Knop punctuate the landscape.
How Much?
The cost is $30 per person - but wait, our treasurer
will reimburse $15 to each member that attends - a 50% discount!
Carpooling is ideal. Kathleen will arrive at noon.
