OUR BEGINNING

The first organized garden club in the US was the Ladies’ Garden Club of Athens, Georgia, founded in 1891. Clubs like ours, founded in 1970, have formed throughout the world. Through committees, programs, and our social activities, you will find friends and colleagues for life. Our membership has diverse backgrounds and a wide range of careers and talents. We come together to celebrate gardens, from the pollinators and seeds to the bouquets and bounties they bestow.

Our federated club is a member of several key national and local organizations. We welcome all types of gardeners, from beginners to experienced; there is always something to learn and share.
